The problem

What this program is actually for

Practitioners facing a boundary concern usually cannot point to the moment it went wrong, because there was not one. Each step was small and defensible on its own. That makes the concern hard to reflect on honestly and easy to minimise, which is exactly what a Board reads as absent insight. Boundary matters are also among the fastest growing category of notification.

What changes by the end: You will be able to identify boundary drift early and by name, re-establish a professional frame without damaging the therapeutic relationship, manage unavoidable dual relationships transparently, and use digital channels without creating risk.

Two things worth knowing before you buy on hours

  • Dental practitioners: ethics and professionalism generally falls in the non-scientific category, capped at 12 hours per three-year cycle.
  • Pharmacists: the Board counts credits, not hours, weighted by activity group and self-assessed by you. Do not read hours as credits.

Questions about this program

Does this cover social media and advertising?
Yes. The social media course covers posting, patient privacy, testimonial restrictions and advertising obligations under the National Law.
I practise rurally and cannot avoid dual relationships. Is this realistic for me?
Yes. The content addresses unavoidable dual relationships directly, because avoidance is not available in most rural and small-community practice.
Is this only for sexual boundary matters?
No. Most boundary concerns involve over-involvement, gifts, favours, social contact or financial entanglement rather than a sexual boundary.
Can I do this preventively?
Yes, and it is considerably cheaper and less stressful than doing it afterwards.
