The problem

What this program is actually for

Clinical concerns are rarely about knowledge. They are about a moment where a risk was recognised but not escalated, or a decision that was sound but never recorded, or a system that allowed a single lapse to reach a patient. Reviewing the clinical topic alone does not address any of those, which is why practitioners who do only clinical revision often find their response falls flat.

What changes by the end: You will be able to recognise and escalate risk through a pathway rather than a conversation, document reasoning so it withstands retrospective review, and design a concrete safeguard that prevents a specific failure from recurring.

Two things worth knowing before you buy on hours

  • Dental practitioners: ethics and professionalism generally falls in the non-scientific category, capped at 12 hours per three-year cycle.
  • Pharmacists: the Board counts credits, not hours, weighted by activity group and self-assessed by you. Do not read hours as credits.

Questions about this program

Is this clinical education?
No. It covers the professional dimensions of safe practice: recognition, escalation, documentation and systems. It is not a clinical refresher and does not replace clinical training in your field.
My concern is about one clinical decision. Is this too broad?
The program is deliberately broader than the single decision, because a Board assesses the surrounding system and record as well as the decision itself.
Can a team do this together?
Yes. Bulk allocations can be assigned across a team, and the safeguards content works well as a shared exercise.
Does it cover prescribing?
For doctors, nurses and pharmacists the program includes the prescribing or medicines course. See your profession's outline above.
